Following the spread of Covid-19, volatility is on the rise along with scares of inflation and unemployment. Indicators of financial market uncertainty have reached extreme levels. So it’s not surprising that nearly 7 in 10 employees indicated in a survey by mental health provider Ginger that the COVID-19 pandemic is the most stressful time of their entire professional career, which has aligned with stark increases in new prescriptions of antidepressant, antianxiety, and anti-insomnia medications.
A study found that 88% of workers reported experiencing moderate to extreme stress over the past 4 to 6 weeks. Among those reporting stress, 62% noted losing at least 1 hour a day in productivity and 32% lost at least 2 hours a day due to COVID-19–related stress.

“The past few months have been unsettling to say the least; businesses are closing at a crazy rate, governments are boosting the market with stimulus making the situation all the more uncertain. My role is to help businesses grow and advise on their operations and structure, it has become particularly difficult lately due to the lack of clarity with the pandemic.
